Last few weeks have taken us through Southern Germany, Austria, and now into Switzerland. We based ourselves in Berchtesgaden in Bavaria for a week and explored the surrounding mountains and lakes as well as the city of Salzburg. A few nights in Munich included a sobering trip to Dachau and then back down into Austria to visit the mountains and castles of this area. We started our time in Switzerland visiting with some special friends for a few days and seeing how the locals live.
